The "BLUE" Dream

Wow Kasumi Bear sure is fast in her posting blogs. Kudos to speed-typists like her! (Clap, Clap, Clap... Kowtow)

I didn't want to share this at first as I was afraid it will generate nasty comments and me having to read through them and end up feeling annoyed but heck, I am going to post it anyway.

It was after a long talk with K.A.B.E. and I finally decided: if its going to lift up the spirit of even ONE SOUL who reads this, my 30-minutes (I know, damn slow...) worth of typing will have great results.

OK, before you think too deeply into the word, BLUE doesn't mean 蓝色 as in those 蓝色笑话 ok?

duh...

It was actually a part of a great incident, which you will soon find out.

That night (which was Tuesday night EST) I was going to bed. However, it was just an extremely difficult night to sleep. I was tossing and turning and the weather was humid. I got up a number of times to drink water, adjust the fan, read (yes, to make my eyes tired which didn't really work well that night), went to wash my face... all to dismal results.

I was lying there wide-eyed and praying that I could just sleep from now (which was I think 3am) till morning, it'll be the greatest thing that can happen to me right now.

After a few more moments of tossing and turning... I FINALLY got to sleep and the most amazing sequence (aka dream) played in my head.

I dreamt I was in a stadium-like place and the place was just MASSIVE. It was full of bright lights, cheering and noises.

The stadium was filled with people.

(I was not one of them. In fact, in my dream I was "hovering around", as if I was watching them.)

So, the concert started and it was a worship session. Something like F.O.P. or Hillsongs type of concert.

What was most amazing was that:
1. I've never heard those songs before in my life
2. I was singing along in my dream and I could hear the lyrics
3. They were the most uplifting, cheerful, powerful songs I've ever sung

And best of all, the dream went into "Repeat" mode and continued from the beginning for about three times.

I sang this song with the most powerful chorus and most beautiful tune (which I have NEVER EVER heard before in my life).

The chorus goes like this, twice:

Your word
Your life
Your truth
Your love......
See me through

And the tune, simply magnificent. I can even sing it for you.

Then, I woke up.

A pity I could only remember this one verse. The rest of the songs in the dream were overpowering as well.

If anyone has come across a song with a similar verse in it, please let me know. It's a slow-ish song, just so you know.

Oh, I remember in the concert, the choir on stage was wearing blue and everything about the stadium has a blue lighting atmos to it. So there.

Ever since I arrive in US, I was craving for a worship session like that. Here, everything is more subdued and singing-from-hymn-book kind. I guess God knows precisely what I needed and gave it to me as a gift, in my dreams!

I remembered another instance from about three or four years ago.

I was already zzzz-ing and all of a sudden I was woken up by a voice inside my head.

It was saying this repeatedly to me:

Psalms twenty one three, Psalms twenty one three, Psalms twenty one three....

for about 30 seconds.

Me, of course, being the most initiated and eager person, told the voice inside my head:

Great! I'll check it in the morning.

So morning came and I went to check what the verse is all about and............

You can say the verse became the guiding word in my life, bringing me through all circumstances that I was, am and will be going through.


Praise the Lord.

Well, if you think that I am hallucinating, I wish this hallucination can continue and I live continually in His presence and His goodness.


How many people can say that life-changing verses dropped from the sky into their head?

How many people can attest that tunes and lyrics can enter one's mind without effort even?


Just to show you that amazing things can happen and sometimes, you don't even need to be praying and fasting and begging for it.

And if it can happen to me, twice, it can happen to you.

(I must confess that I am not an ultra-spiritual person. If on a scale of one to ten, I'd put myself at 1, just above the atheist. I don't listen to pastor's cds as often as others. In fact I listen more to rap and pop. I don't religiously attend bible studies as often as I go dancing. I can't even quote one bible verse without thinking hard.)

But I am glad that when God speaks to us, He doesn't look at our performance.

I believe He does it when He knows it will change us.

Our God knows our needs. And He is eager to answer them.

God is good.
