I'm so excited! I actually saw the white cat! It's always hiding out somewhere in the basement but somehow in this occassion it has decided to come outside for a breath of fresh air. It actually has a very beautiful coat of white fur and it looks very elegant. However, it's quite shy. I tried to step closer for a clearer picture but it swoop! ran away.
Cecile classified this as her achievement of the week. Five huge shopping bags for her in total, and we both signed up for their membership cards. She's grinning when she thinks of the food she can eat as a result of The Great Big Mart.
This was taken during our shopping trip. I forced my shopping kaki to sit there and pretend to look normal (you see, somehow whoever gets stuck with me always end up siao...) She was overwhelmed by the GREAT BIG MART OF ITHACA - WEGMAN'S. It has absolutely everything you can and cannot imagine. It's just remarkable the sort of things they have in stock. I can guarantee you'll be buying at least something from every aisle. My shopping kaki said this: "I can't believe this! This place is so good! It has everything! I'm coming back next week!"
I concur.
I bought enough to feed and keep a mid-sized village functioning. What turned out to be a milk-only trip turned out to be mission stock-the-fridge-till-it-bursts.

Everything, except milk. Naturally, I had a hard time carrying FOUR fully filled plastic bags and walking home. Thank goodness my landlady bought milk for me. I'm eternally indebted.
The buses here are damn one kind. Got schedule never mind. Sometimes late. Then furthermore on Sundays macam Sabbath, number of buses that operate are down by HALF. Meaning people don't need to go out on Sundays lah! Now I smart. I don't plan to go out on Sundays. To church and back. If not, no buses how? Here take taxi also difficult. Must call.
The one and only TCAT bus whose dust I must breathe when I am late.

yo.. the white cat looks so clean and white, bet it took "pains" to clean itself everyday ! hahaha...
that's a whole lot of food u bought ? for a week ? for yourself only or sharing with someone else ? eat well yar ? :)

Just so as everyone will know, going to Wegmans is not my biggest achievement of the week, but it is always a good time!!
But this supermarket is too big as I spend almost 20 min each week looking for Jia Hui at the end of the shopping!
Everyone should also know that Jai Hui makes shopping lists, but she doesn't buy what is on the list, she always find something else...
Having food with Jai Hui is an other way of having a lot of fun. We already have breakfast, lunch, dinner, ice cream from Friendly's, etc.
And we also spend a lot of time talking about food. Food makes feel us less homesickness!!!
