Outdoor Salsa Party!
Hey! There was an outdoor salsa party at the Esplanade last night! Come to think of it, this is the second outdoor salsa party that I've attended and I wish there are more of such events in Singapore!The performers belong to the Mario Lopez Latin Band, and the lady Sophia on keyboard was truly insprational. They played a mix of salsa and cha-cha-cha. The crowd was kinda on the quiet side i.e. more lookers than dancers, which was quite sad. But, there was a very game uncle who stood up in the midst of all the audience and danced away. People around just laughed but I could tell he was truly enjoying himself. Then at stage right was an empty space and the regular dancers took up the spot. My group was dancing at the space behind the audience. I should've danced more, on hindsight. I was quite hesitant at first, when no one was dancing, but my partner insisted on dancing because he was suffering from "itchy feet" so I finally got the guts to just dance. And it was awesome! I didn't feel so sick when dancing! Praise the Lord.
And wonderful thing is that my group of dancers is expanding. Good problem! However, now we are facing a shortage of girls! Which is quite tiring considering that 2 girls have to dance with 4 other guys! So I urge all my girlfriends to SERIOUSLY consider learning salsa!

hey, watched the show, Shall We Dance, last weekend. really impressed by the dancing .. esp. the competition portion.. so tempted to dance...hahahah..
i suck at dancing! haha. but its still fun! :)
