That's right. I feel so ashamed. Unfilial. Despicable. Crap.

HOW CAN I FORGET MY DEAR FATHER'S BIRTHDAY!

ARGH!!!!

The day that I am supposed to leave Singapore happens to be my father's birthday! I am such a bad daughter....Sigh....

So, should I leave on the next day? Then at least I can sing happy birthday song, then leave the next morning. My flight is an obscene early morning flight by the way.

So pros and cons are listed.


Leaving Singapore on Day of Father's Birthday

Pros:
1. More relaxed as I get to spend one extra day in NYC.
2. Can buy bus ticket to home on the next day (I'll reach NYC on the night of the same day) so less hectic. No ticket at least can find alternative.
3. More time to see NYC (aka shopping at Macy's Victoria's Secret, Niketown, H&M and Old Navy)

Cons:
1. Will cry till I dehydrate at the airport cos it's my father's birthday and me-the-unfilial-child is leaving on his birthday. And have to celebrate his birthday at the airport...WAH!!!
2. Spend one more night in NYC means more money on transport (US$7 for whole day) and accomodation (US$35) and of course shopping.


Leaving Singapore Day After Father's Birthday

Pros:
1. Can celebrate birthday with daddy ON HIS BIRTHDAY.
2. Spend less money on accomodation and transport cos won't have time to walk around. I must leave the next day, that is if I manage to wake up by 10am.
3. Can sleep on the bus ride to new home, which is 5 bloody hours.

Cons:
1. Will still cry till I dehydrate cos I'm leaving the day after my father's birthday...WAH!!!
2. No time to walk around NYC! Man!!!
3. Hectic cos reach NYC at night, next morning must chiong to buy bus ticket and take bus to new home. (Note: I must reach my new home by a certain date cos of some compulsory orientation that I can't afford to miss. So leaving Singapore the day after my daddy's birthday is the ABSOLUTE latest.)

Please, someone help me get out of this mess. Anyone.

Guilt-ridden.

After-note:
Alas. No flight out on the-day-after-dear-father's-birthday. Must leave on the-day-of-dear-father's-birthday.

Unless I buy a ticket on another airline which a) is now fully booked which means i'm on waiting list and b) costs at least $250 more.

By the way, this is the first time I'm buying a one-way ticket. So exciting! Hahaha.....

I'm easily amused.
