So Lazy!
Ha Ha! So uninitiated to write!Has anyone watched Shall We Dance? I did! It was ok, not much of a story but plenty of cool dances! It's a joy to see Richard Gere put on those dancing shoes again (remember Chicago?) I was definitely inspired to improve on my techniques and turns! I realized that turning is not an easy thing to learn. It takes lots of self-control, balance and trust in your partner. I am, HOWEVER, on my road to improvement! Next up: Rumba. The perfect dance to train turns and spins, SLOWLY.
Also, my hospital now looks like a war zone. Why? Renovation. It's grossly noisy and dusty and stuffy! No wonder everyone's taking MC. Well, Jesus blood.....I plead that over myself EVERYDAY. Almost succumbed to a torturous flu but praise God it didn't culminate to that. I only had to live with slight cough and blocked nose. You know? I seriously think that God healed me and "rescued" me from a full-blown attack by the sickening virus.
Back to renovation. The reception area is now cordoned off so that renovation can be done to transform that place to an outpatient clinic. And so just because this area is blocked, people do not know how to get around anymore! EXACTLY. People who have worked at least 5 years in the hospital now do not know where the stairs or offices are or where the toilets are located? And the best thing is, I HAVE TO MAKE ALL THE SIGNAGES! OH MY! Like HUGE SIGNS that tell people where the toilets are, where the stairs are, where the recep is, where the lifts are etc... Now my pillars are pasted with multi-colored plasters because apparently, some patients cannot read and had to rely on colours! So, now, in this tiny pillar is a huge 6 ft sign with 4 different colours hoping to point people to the right place. And funny thing is, people are still LOST! I think, seriously, that they just don't read! And they think they know the place SO WELL, they can walk without looking! And most of these jokers are delivery men......wearing sunglasses.
And also all of a sudden, every department want signs! Like never before did they need a sign and now suddenly, they need to have one! So, I had to politely ask them: "Do you NEED one?"
My boss, so funny, had this conversation with me.
Me: You know, I was just talking to L-, and she said that some staff complained to her that they do not know how to go to the conference room because of the renovation......and think we need to put up signs.....
Boss: (Exasperated) Who are these staff? Ask her. I want to know.
Me: (Really scared now) I don't know. L- didn't want to disclose.
Boss: Well, if we know, then we can have an orientation. We can bring two of them round at a time, hold their hands, and show them where the places are. Don't you think that's nice?
Me: ...........
Renovation is expected to be DONE end March. This is one of the few times when I want time to pass QUICKLY.
Now, because of this renovation, many of my colleagues are going crazy. (One took MC apparently because she had a HUGE headache from all the hacking downstairs) Many look to other alternatives to de-stress, like games. So for the past few days, we were going crazy over the "maggie can cook, so you can" game. It's funny! And I don't have to be afraid of my IT person finding out because she herself is addicted to the game! What a wonderful world!
=====
Sanity is quite impossible when renovation is just next door.
