Counting Part 2 (And Others)

What is Sane busy with nowadays, you are asking?

Besides school work and assistantship duties (which you will get to know about soon!), there's also something else which you'll know in due time :)

Suffice to say I'm a very happy girl! Hahaha....

Anyway, so officially, I have 4 more weeks of school left. And in these 4 weeks, my agenda looks like this:

Group projects = 4

Individual assignments = 3

Reflection papers = 3

All due in four weeks...

You mou gom hak yan zang ge leh? Lei dei wah, or goh prof or yao si zen hai hou xiong sud zoh hoi... Presentation yi geng postpone zoh cah mm doh sei dou mm goh xing kei, dan hai hoi yud did dou mm gok tak gan yew... Yud jek giu wo deh yiu sun hoi, bei hoi yud dud si gan... Dan hai lei dei wah lah, dim hor yi gom gah!?!?! Yud did dou mm fuk zub yan. Hou qi wah lah, kum yad wo dei za mm doh seng ban dou yao presentation. In four weeks time, I'll be a free person. Free from research methods, free from campaigns, free from management! Hallelujah!!!

Then, I'll dwell into my thesis research. Actually, I'm quite excited about it. If you've read my thesis blog (if you haven't, it's your loss), you can tell that I'm really blessed with a smooth-sailing progress. Nothing major cropped up and it seems like things are going well. I'm still awaiting an official letter about my fellowship application though. But I have no worries because it's in God's hands. :-)

PS: I GOT IT!!! I GOT IT!!! Praise God!!! I got the fellowship! Hallelujah!!!

Something else I have been busy with is my assistantship. If you do not know, I'm helping the artist Mary Zebell with an art installation "Counting" that is being held in Ithaca College itself. It is an amazing work of art and I'm proud to say that I was part of the wonderful team that put it together. Although I was bruised, scratched, maimed, and poked (by the wood and the artist), the end result was really too significant and beautiful...

It is a really evocative and emotional piece of art, especially when you walk around the fences and you start to look at the individual slabs. On the broader perspective, you see the massive impact of the numbers. But individually, each slab has a story to tell... A life cut short by war, disease, or ignorance.

As we count, we remember one life.
