What it takes to revive the Sane

So the Sane is back.

All it takes are encouraging words, love, and a few gems here and there.

Today, the gem takes the form of Martina McBride.

She is a great country singer, hidden behind other names like Shania Twain and Faith Hill.

But trust me, she is one awesome country crooner that has the look and voice of an angel.

Here's just a taste of what she has sung.

-----
Concrete Angel
(A song about child abuse, crafted beautifully to capture the hearts and souls of people to make them notice the hidden troubles in our world.)

Through the wind and the rain
She stands hard as a stone
In a world that she can't rise above
But her dreams give her wings
And she flies to a place where she's loved
Concrete angel

-----
I Love You
(I absolutely crave for this song not only because of the witty vocab but also the thrill of catching up with the charged-up rhythm. Really good on days when I miss him so much. And also on days when I miss good karaoke.)

And I'm in so electrically
Charged up kinetically
Actin' erratically
Need you fanatically
You get to me magically
Sure as the sky is blue
Baby, I love you

-----
Valentine
(A good old-fashion love song.)

I've dreamed of this a thousand times before
But in my dreams I couldn't love you more
I will give you my heart
Until the end of time...
You're all I need, my love, my Valentine

-----
A Broken Wing
(A man, shutting down his lady's dream and aspiration, ends up losing her. She left, or committed suicide, I don't know. But may this not happen anymore to anyone.)

She'd tell him about her dreams
He'd just shoot 'em down
Lord he loved to make her cry
"You're crazy for believin'
You'll ever leave the ground"
He said, "Only angels know how to fly"

And with a broken wing
She still sings
She keeps an eye on the sky
With a broken wing
She carries her dreams
Man you ought to see her fly

-----
That's Me
(This is an extremely sad song but with the most beautiful tune. And the MTV is amazing. It's old, but captivating. Love her...)

There's a photo in an album he don't notice anymore
That's me, that's me
There's a stack of cards and letters buried deep inside a drawer
That's me, that's me
And the shirt that I once slept in hanging loose behind the door
Tossed aside so carelessly
That's me, Oh that's me

There's a woman in the chapel in the back row by herself
That's me, that's me
And a man at the altar says "I do" to someone else
That's him, that's him
As the wedding party leaves throwing rice and wishing well
A single tear falls silently
That's me, Oh Lord that's me
