June 28 and 29 have to be the two worst days in 2006

First there's the aftermath of the boy going home, which left me in tears. But I wish him all the best and God's favor in his new work environment.

Then there's the TWO DAYS rest for World Cup. Why must they rest for 2 days? They are professional players, who are so used to playing for clubs, I seriously think half a day's rest is more than enough.

TWO WHOLE DAYS!

Meaning for two days,

1. Sammy's pizza and Chapter House (which show live matches) will be out of business

2. My boss and I will have nothing to talk about

3. My boss and I will have to find things to do

4. Uma and Dinesh will be bored to death

5. Friends will have to find new things to talk about

This is unfair.

First thing my boss told me this morning was:

"I'm suffering from withdrawal."

Then it was:

"Regular life sux."

Just a few minutes ago, he said:

"We need a new hobby."

Now I know how all the smokers feel when they are abstaining. It's a feeling of restlessness, confusion, trying-to-find-things-to-do-ism, and irritability.

It's so hard, living without World Cup, the constant outbursts of vexation as you see a goal missed, and the elation of seeing Klinsman and Kaka a wonderful goal.

Withdrawal is hard.

I wish June 30th will come soon.

Also, I don't know what's going to happen July 10th onwards.

Four years' worth of withdrawal angst, or finding a new hobby?

Still missing you... and waiting.

I wish that one year will pass by quickly. For once in my life, I dun mind growing older faster.

PS: Check out karen cheng's site. Love it. Got me cousin hooked, especially on her two sons recommendations for online shopping.

Finally figured out how to do strikethrough on blogger. I'm so stupid.
