First week in retrospect

The first week of school started in a shebang of confusion and mayhem, but I'm glad it ended quite peacefully.

What I learned in Statistics:
- First class usually starts on time and ends very early, about 20 minutes after class has started
- Different types of data - nominal, ordinal, interval, and ratio
- Importance of presenting data clearly and accurately, so as not to mislead others
- Frequencies, standard deviations, and probability
- SPSS - software for analyzing data (which is quite cool actually)

What I learned in Seminar:
- It is very important to find a client BEFORE school even begins, because after that, you only have 12 days
- To know your limitations, that you have only 4 months to get the project done and up-and-running
- Work on one and only one deliverable
- Looking at the scope, I think I may just die before the semester is over

What I learned in Thesis:
- Nothing much yet. Meeting today.
- That it is always good to give your adviser PLENTY of time
- Reading more = Changing more

What I learned in the computer lab:
- The discovery of the deadly epidemics
