Days of the Week
The crazy drunkards were having an interesting conversation on the way to get more *ahem* intoxicating beverages *ahem*.It was about days of the week.
Specifically, it's about the day of the week that we can do without.
After a long argument, we decided that Tuesdays and Thursdays are redundant and are the worst days of the week.
(Disclaimer: This analysis is a result of putting three crazy drunkards together, on a very warm day. So, it's not even intended to be religious or philosophical in nature. Just chill....)
Mondays: Pretty decent. At least it's the start to a new week and if things get off on a good note, Mondays can be perky for some people. Mondays are also good because you've just rested for two days before.
Tuesdays: A little draggy, but still it's close to the start of the week. So for me, it's not too bad.
Wednesdays: Mid-week! There's a name for it! Mid-week! It's right smack in the middle so at least there's a juncture of the week that can be defined. And once we crossed it, we're CLOSE to weekends!
Thursdays: According to me, the WORST and most REDUNDANT day. Why? It's nowhere near the beginning, it's not the middle, and it's not the end. It's just a day after midweek and the day before the last day of the week. Thursdays serve no significant purpose.
Fridays: End of the work week! Going on to weekend! Party!
Saturdays: First day of weekend.
Sundays: Weekend and rest.
So if I am supposed to plan a week, it will look like this...
Monday - Tuesday - Wednesday - Friday - Saturday - Sunday
Let's abort Thursdays altogether.
(This is what happens when you put a person who just defended his thesis, another one who is going to defend her thesis, and one more who's going to defend her proposal together. We talk about frills. But of course, we also talk about urbanization and crimes. Because we believe that one day, we will change the world.
And that day happens to be a Thursday.)
What is YOUR redundant day of the week?
-----
Today is a very special day for two certain someones.
Someone #1 is in Singapore, while Someone #2 is in Ithaca.
It's a day to remember how God work miracles in our lives, brings us together, and gives us the strength to love one another.
It's a day to marvel at how we can be so different outwardly, but still are attracted to each other.
It has been four months and I pray for more to come.
I love you so...

hmmm... personally, i hate mondays. means the two days of rest is over and a whole week of shit comes up... sigh. hope you are doing ok over there! hang on girl!
I've always been partial to Thursdays, actually, going back to undergraduate days when I rarely had classes on Fridays, so the weekend for me feels like it begins on Thursday night.
That said, these days Fridays are my low point, for a variety of reasons . . .
I've been trying to e-mail you, but for some reason it won't go through. I've been enjoying your blogs: _love_ the piece on "I am Singaporean"; and obviously can relate to your thesis travails. . . Try my e-mail link in my blog, and see if it works from that direction!
Best,
Gwynn (aka Jardiniere)
