Still a survivor

Today is officially the end of the first week of school for me. So far I've had one lesson in Communucation Technology and 150 pages worth of reading for the first two weeks, for one class.

Great.

So life for me for the next 15 weeks of my adult life will be readings, assignments, writing, thesis, interviews, thesis, thesis thesis and so on...

I'm also going for the first class of Visual Presentation tonight. I hope it'll be fun and entertaining if not I'm gonna cry.

Taking a total of two classes this semester, and thesis.

God help me!

So much work to do!

-----
I just found out something weird about myself.

It seems that I have a low tolerance for caffeine.

My sleep nemesis. Oh how I yearn and dread you in the afternoon.

If I drink coffee after 12pm, I won't be able to sleep that night.

Truth be told.

And I'm not even talking about espresso or one of those strange, fancy coffee.

What I have here is Indocafe 3-in-1.

Yes. I had ONE cup at 2pm yesterday and for the life of me I can't get to sleep at night.

Verdict:

Mr Lim and I cannot meet after 12pm.

Here are some photos of Toronto!

Went there with my housemate and it was fun! Met up with someone from my high school whom I've never even spoken to then!

Wow.

One thing this trip taught me is the joys of cherishing friends, new or old.

For all you unbelieving cynics.

On a busy street, overlooking a grand building.

An ad for the World Cup, and a random head.

CN Tower, still standing tall, still bellowing smoke. I suspect someone is barbeque-ing up there.

One thing we can't escape, and two we can't live without. The "idol" spawns and Starbucks.

Another sight.

I love you, says the mud man.

Want to watch Lord of the Rings? Um, and fall asleep?

It was windy.

Hungry, Hungry!

YUMMY!

Presenting Glutton Sane!

On the topic of friendship, I want to express yet again much thanks and gratitude to everyone who wrote dear Michelle a note.

She is struggling, but doing well.

She also wrote a piece for The Ithacan recently.

Oh, and I'm still on the topic of the Project Runway fiasco.

And their problem with fatness.

Just recently, they were tasked to design an outfit for the "everyday women".

And these everyday women happened to be their moms or sisters!

It was fun, except when the designers who "unfortunately" got paired with a bigger-size relative (see? they don't get to design an outfit for their OWN mothers or sisters).

When that happened, designers were whining and mourning about the fact that they had to design an outfit for bigger-size women!

Um, if I don't remember wrongly, they had to design for DOGS in an earlier challenge.

Are you trying to tell me that designing for DOGS was more difficult and more challenging than designing for a real female body form?

Get real, designers, and stop whining about the fact that the women who will eventually wear your clothes are not size 0!

Can you imagine how our world will be like if everyone is a size zero?

1. You won't need umbrellas because everyone can walk between the rain.

2. There won't be a need for pattern-makers too, as everyone will be wearing the same sizes.

3. The only food you'll ever eat is spinach.

4. A car will sit 7 passengers instead of 4.

5. There can be more space on the road because we won't need too much space for the sidewalks.

-----
Anyway, I shall quit complaining and get back to work.

And I pray that ma' life will be more of HIM and less of me.

Amen.

Sane is busy, and getting busier.

And cold.
